Easily Morales

Morales made his name not just off 1 fighter like Marquez

so how did Morales make his name? by losing to Barrera 3 times?
No disrespect to Morales cause he is a warrior and a Hall of Famer, but in my book there is no way in the world Morales won a single fight against Barrera.

My opinion on this has changed in the last two weeks.... pre Pac KO it was Morales, now it is Marquez imo.

Barrera was my favorite of all of them though.

Marquez is an ATG and finally has his career defining "Official" win over Pacquaio. Which, in fairness, probably should, be more.

But outside of that? How deep is his resume? Not very. What's his best win outside of that? Salido perhaps? Then who? Katsidis? Juan Diaz? I'd compare those to Morales win over Wayne MCullough, perhaps a tad higher.

Morales also has a win over Pacquaio. A career defining feat, also.

But outside of that, I think it's clear as day to see his resume is a lot deeper than Marquez' and I can't see how that's even remotely arguable.

Let's not even get to the fact he has a prime Barrera on his resume.

Guys like Zaragoza, Ayala, Chavez, Junior Jones, Espadas Jr, Kevin Kelley, Carlos Hernandez.

I can't see how an argument can be made unless you consider Marquez to have won all 4 of the Pacquaio fights.

Come on... When Erik fought Junior Jones, Jones was already on his way out. He got KTFO by McKinney and thats supposed to be better than KOing a guy that never been KOed like master boxer Casamayor? or Juan Diaz?

Famoso and Chavez were good titlists but I wouldnt favor them over Juan Diaz or Casamayor. Kevin Kelley was OK too but I favor the Salido win over that win.

And Morales IMO lost the first Espadas fight.

Not saying Morales is not a great fighter or that he doesnt have a great resume but lets call it like it is.

There was always an agenda against Marquez. Thats why they never fought when they were both young. Thats why they still wont fight. Even after Marquez secures one of the biggest wins/KO's there is still an agenda against him. SMH.

but damn, marquez KO over pac is only something every mexican could've dream of.

a fight of that magnitude. he was the underdog. it was their part IV.

that was just mind blowing for me.

Barrera and Morales started with a big push so they have an older crop of fans/backers that will root for their guy (Barrera or Morales) and never root for the other guy. Kind of like how Barrera will never root for JMM or Erik.

Barrera has a core that dont lilke Morales or JMM.

Erik has a crowd that dont like Barrera or JMM.

Since those two were stars first they had more backers and the common guy to diss was JMM.

Those backers are like the Old school beliefs crowd. New school will never be badder than old school, etc.
