I don't think Rios is jealous, he just sounds hungry. If he is jealous it's just because Garcia beat Khan who was regarded as some kind of elite. But Peterson did the exact same thing so I don't know why Rios would be jealous.

I don't know much about Garcia though, I saw him early in his career and honestly never saw anything to write home about. I remember thinking Ortiz would walk over this guy, but history has played out in a funny way lol.

I don't see the hype behind Lucas Matthysse. He's a fighter with a lot of potential but he is not a finisher and let Zab and Alexander off the hook when he had them hurt. I pick Garcia over him and Rios. Rios/Matthysse would be a good one too.

I don't see the hype behind Garcia. He knocked out Khan, wow so did Prescott. And Peterson looked like he was close to stopping Khan too. Garcia's best wins besides Khan are against Morales and Holt, who h barely beat by SD. If Morales and Khan were able to bust Danny's face up like that imagine what Lucas does to him.
Matthysse fights with Judah, Alexander, Soto, and Ajose make Matthysse's resume better than Garcia's IMO. Those two losses are bull**** and anyone who watched those fights knows it.

Garcia is only champ by default anyways and people forget that. Lucas was supposed to fight Morales for the vacant WBC strap and pulled out because of the flu or something. Cano replaced last minute and Morales won the belt. Timing made Garcia champ not his skills.

I'm a Rios fan/Garcia hater but Danny makes a good point; Arum is outright refusing to make fights with GBP, so what is the point in Rios trying to bait Garcia into a fight or just plainly denigrating him, when your own promoter won't ever allow it to happen?

It's sh-t talking for the sake of sh-t talking. There's no point to it, it's just teasing the fans into something that ain't gonna happen.

Big talk coming from a guy about to fight a very shop worn Zab. I like Garcia, but Rios has a bigger win this year than both of his. LOL at folks thinking Garcia whoops Rios. Same folks who thought Alvarado would steamroll him.

I'm not a fan of Rios or Garcia but I actually picked Alvarado to have Rios walk into big shots all night.

Rios took a beat down like a man though and just walked Alvarado down. Even now I don' think much of Garcia as a whole, but Rios style is so basic that its hard to pick him in most fights.

As for this one, I'm going with Rios just because of toughness and durability. From what I remember about Garcia his left hook was never a world ending shot, just his best punch. I really don't see it stopping Rios from coming in to rip **** apart and cause havoc like he does. Gotta go with Brandon if this fight is made.

Who is to say that Morales was not going to beat Lucas? Morales gave Chino a good fight and it was close fight.

Garcia over Rios? Maybe, Garcia over Mathysse LOAO I think Mathysse can whoop anybody in the 140 lbs, but GBP wants to have a puertorican boxer as a Champion couse they know they'll get those PPVs from that sector of the boxing community. GBP knows Mathysse will knock this kidd out.

Rios vs Garcia is a toss up fight, people here talks about Rios not being a boxer, you probably right but let not forget that Danny is not that fast, likes to brawl and we've seen that between Rios vs Peterson whom I think has as much skill as Garcia.

I seen enough from Garcia, especially in the first fight with Morales, to know that he aint ****t and will get ****en up by Rios if they ever fight!!

Difference is rios needs to fight a khan, morales , or holt first and stop losing the Abril's of the world.
