They say a picture says 1000 words, so there's 2000.

Larry you know when Marquez fought Mayweather he was slow and blown up lightweight. Stop kidding yourself, if Marquez fought Mayweather in the kind of shape he fought Pacquiao last Saturday it would have been a far more competitive fight.

    You know it too.

After all, Marquez proved his worth at the weight by beating the supposed #1 fighter there. And don't tell me Manny doesn't belong at WW, when he's been around the same weight as Floyd for 3 years now, and was like 150 lbs on fight night a week ago. Manny was proven at 147 too.
No. Absolutely not. Did you really take Mayweather-Marquez seriously? Mayweather couldn't even keep a straight face during the fight promotions, since he knew this was a joke fight. Who makes a dude jump up two weight divisions to fight him, anyway? Come on, now. Are you kidding? How could anybody take that fight seriously, knowing Marquez was jumping up two weight divisions. I didn't give him credit back then, and I won't give him credit now. It would be like Cotto beating up on Marquez at 154? You would give Cotto credit for that fight? No. Again, these dudes are not 147 fighters. Please, stop. When the dude Pacquiao has to eat like 7,000 calories per day so that he doesn't go below the welterweight limit, it shows you he has no business at that weight division. Like I said, please stop trying to legitimize Floyd's victories. Meanwhile, Floyd is fighting at 154? This dude is bigger. Based on size alone, Pacquiao never had a chance. We expected too much from these little dudes who have been fighting the bigger dudes. Come on, now. Like I said if he is okay having Marquez jump two weight divisions, how about Floyd jumps up weight divisions to fight Martinez at 160 or Ward at 168? Would you guys give those dudes credit for beating up on a naturally smaller fighter? Of course not. Come on, now.

Really??? So Marquez was all of a sudden faster and better in 2012 than in 2009??? He may have put better muscle on, but he didn't look at all faster or more skilled all of a sudden. If anything, aside from a couple punches, Marquez looked slower and not as good a week ago.

No way does Floyd get any kind of credit. First of all styles makes fights. It was a bad style match up for the smaller Marquez.

Secondly, Marquez had just moved up from 130 to 135 and then had to move up 2 more divisions to fight Floyd. Marquez was not ready physically for that fight. If that Marquez showed up last week, he would have a very very hard time knocking down Manny twice .... and had a very hard time withstanding Manny's shots ..... Not the same fighter physically.

Plus, it appeared that it helped that he had a new physical trainer. As it definitely improved Marquez in certain aspects of his game. Last week he needed those improvements. To me, the way that fight was going, Marquez could have only beat Manny by KO last week. Just countering to get "points" was not going to be enough.

Marquez was stronger in 2012 than he was in 2009, and put better muscle on. That's about it.

He wasn't faster and all of a sudden a better and more skilled fighter.

People need to realize that Marquez wasn't really looking too good against Manny a week ago. Yes, he landed the two punches that counted and what he needed to win. But he didn't look fluid, looked slower than we've seen him before, and was getting beat to the punch 95% of the time.

But we've heard it a million times......one punch can end it and/or change the whole fight.

You can't believe for a second Marquez or Pacquiao have any business at welterweight, those dudes are not welterweights at all. Mayweather has been fighting at 140 or above since 2004. Pacquiao and Marquez were still at 130 in 2008. Come on, man. That fight Mayweather had against Marquez was a joke, and no one gave Marquez any kind of chance in that fight. Everyone knew Mayweather would beat him. Please stop it, though. Don't act like anyone gave Marquez a shot going into that fight. It was a joke fight.
Not only that, Floyd apologists pretend he was the same weight as Pacquiao in the ring when he fought Marquez. They must also be pretending to forget Floyd refused to step on HBO's scale the night of the fight.
