Do you think a prime Margarito would have really beaten Floyd?

Were Clottey and Williams ever on his radar.......No

Clottey didn't get a significant win until Zab Judah in 2008. Williams didn't get a significant one until Margarito in 2007, when Floyd fought Oscar and Hatton.

Floyd took a 2 year vacation when the welterweight division was sizzling hot. He would of been respected a lot more if he would of stuck around and fought those guy's at that particular time.

Williams lost to Quintana right after Floyd beat Hatton. Clottey was never really even mentioned as a Floyd opponent in serious conversations. Mosley, Floyd had already tried to fight him for several years, and then he lost to Cotto. Mosley beat Margarito, who'd just beaten Cotto, and Floyd fought Mosley.

I can't fault Floyd for Cotto, when we review everything else that happened before and since. Floyd had wanted to fight Cotto when both were TR, and after Floyd mopped up Gatti, Cotto and TR didn't seem keen on making that fight. Arum even said he couldn't get Floyd the right money for Margarito, Oscar, and Cotto, even though he got it away to fight other top fighters. Cotto leaves TR and the fight is made, coincidence.....I don't think so.
