Do you think a prime Margarito would have really beaten Floyd?

Margarito's pressure will be entirely ineffective against floyd. Throwing a lot of punches doesnt win you rounds, landing them does and they wont be landing.
He hasn't fought any pressure fighters since (JWW Hatton excepted, but Margarito is a very different physical specimen).

I don't see Ortiz as a primarily a pressure fighter. Besides which, Ortiz was also a JWW stepping up for only his second fight at WW and we never got to see the fight past the 4th round (Ortiz's best).

Margarito was a bigger man, with a superior chin and punch output. Physically I suspect he would have been a tough opponent.

just based on styles I think he would've taken even a prime Floyd to hell and back..

The way people talk about Margarito makes you think that he was Ivan Drago or something. He would not have landed anything significant against a prime Floyd.

It depends, we talking Marg with loaded gloves or without? With them, I think he would have stopped Floyd. Without them, Floyd outboxes him to a decision but it will still be a tough grueling fight for Floyd.
