Do you think a prime Margarito would have really beaten Floyd?

lol I dont even know if Margarito would have landed one significant punch of the whole fight.

This guy is the most overrated fighter ive seen on boxingscene ( Im here since 2004 ). Also he probably cheated during many fights... without padded gloves he is 1-3-0 got stopped twice. People should never put Margarito in the same sentence as Pacquiao, Floyd, Marquez, Martinez, etc...

The way people talk about Margarito makes you think that he was Ivan Drago or something. He would not have landed anything significant against a prime Floyd.

I agree. Margarito is no Jose Luis Castillo, someone who could apply intelligent pressure. Margarito is a big, slow, easy to hit guy who would be tailor made for Floyd. Maybe if he wore those wraps he would have a chance, but without wraps he gets waxed by Floyd.

No.....a fighter with good movement could easily handle Margarito. Floyd used a lot of movement in 2006. Floyd maintained he had no problem fighting Margarito, if Arum could get him the Oscar and Cotto fights for the money he wanted. Arum said he didn't want to give Floyd that kind of money, so Floyd instead fought Baldomir (some MANY were claiming Floyd was ducking as well at the time), De La Hoya (the fight everyone wanted), and Hatton (another person people thought Floyd would duck) for the exact same amount of money. I think it has more to do with Arum and Floyd not being able to do business together than anything.

But Floyd may not have been focusing on Margarito, because he was trying to fight Mosley and Oscar at the time.

Margs would stand in there and take a beating, while hitting you back and stalking you the entire fight...he would never beat a fighter like Floyd on the cards, but he would make a show of it nonetheless
