What seems trivial and backwards to others is canon for some. We should respect their views on religion and faith. We should be more tolerant.

Perhaps within the context of her postures, there is but a bit of truth hidden. He MAY be lacking focus, though not necessarily attributable to his choice of doctrine.

serious question, why did he switch?

I dont know. I knew he got more religous again or whatever and was supposed to reform himself and all of that after he was caught cheating on his wife but I didnt hear anything about him switching from catholic to protestant. What is strange to me is that his mom thinks its such a big deal and that even counts as going to a different religion. I mean that stuff was a big deal 200 years ago but that today that they still have rivalries between christian churches is strange.
