A world-class fighter needs a world-class trainer. Yuri's father, Carlos, might be a decent trainer, but he doesn't belong training his son.

I know, that became obvious to me watching the fight Saturday, i blame some on the rust, but he looked lost style wise against Farenas did whatever he wanted and had no direction. But like i told everyone Farenas is no cookie or bum like everyone was saying he was tapping Uchiyama, Id say Farenas v Lopez see if Lopez can handle those left bombs and Gamboa v Uchiyama then let them consummate their overcooked affair. But one big exception if Mikey beats Siri Fk this fight Garcia VS GAMBOA

          Three common opponents:

          1. Rogers Mtagwa. Result: Lopez literally goes life-and-death with the journeyman, and finishes the fight out on his feet. (I give JuanMa credit for his heart in that fight. I still don't know how he made it to the finish line.) Gamboa demolishes Rogers in two.

          2. Daniel Ponce De Leon. Result: Lopez catches Ponce and KOs him in one. Gamboa utterly shuts him out in a one-sided, eight round (before the fight was stopped on cuts) sparring session.

          3. Orlando Salido. Result: Lopez gets brutally stopped...twice. Gamboa wins a lopsided UD versus the (now) 126 kingpin with relative ease.

I agree. I thought Yuri was a little confused. I think some of that was caused by tension, and some by his time away from the ring.

I would love to see Gamboa fight Garcia (should he beat Salido). Yuri would take that "zero".

Zero interest here. It would probably be a mismatch. Arum was greedy and tried to hold off on the superfight, now Gamboa is no longer with him and Juanma is in the dumps.

              Good.
