Couldn't help but laugh at the "that ship has sailed" comment, but I still wouldn't mind watching JuanMa and Yuri fight. The mystique is utterly gone -- *poof* -- but it might still be an entertaining fight. And it would put to bed, once and for all, any arguments as to who wins that match-up.

Maybe I missed something but what I remembered was Juanma and Gamboa always wanted the fight. It was Bob Arum that kept delaying the fight. Juanma had tons of excuses for a Celestino fight though but like I said, I could be wrong and may have missed something.

I still wont mind seeing these 2 go at it.

nothing but the truth right here!

I think Yuri can deminate Juanma, but at the same time he feels one punch can end his night. I mean that Farina dude or whatever, had him on the canvas hard and hurt him a coupl of times, Juanma lands a solid right hook and Gamboa is out of there.

At this point I favor yuri by UD like 115-112. He visits the canvas atleast once.

The way I remember it, JuanMa always said, "Boxing is a business. I fight who my promoter wants me to fight." That's fine, I never really had a problem with that. But now that things have changed, Lopez is actually looking to fight Gamboa. It's okay to call him out now, JuanMa? No, mijo....

I know you guys are from PR and support your guys, but do you honestly think Juanma can take punches from Gamboa? He's been hurt by a small Marquez, all over the place against M'tagwa, dropped by Concepcion, stopped twice by Salido...

He is going to get hit hard and hit often. I think he'd be lucky to see the 4th round.

JuanMa got stopped by Salido twice, but you favor Yuri by decision? Styles make fights, but Gamboa fought "Siri" in a dogfight. He came out on top, fairly easily.

Now, I agree that Lopez can end Yuri's night with one good shot, but Gamboa can do the same to him. Yuri took a few good shots from Farenas on Saturday. That Filipino hits hard; maybe not as hard as JuanMa, but hard enough. Gamboa showed a decent chin, as far as I'm concerned.

If these two were ever to fight, I agree that there's a chance it goes to the cards. But I'm beginning to think the chances are better that Yuri stops JuanMa in one of those machine gun flurries of his.
