True, but I don't think Juanma poses as much of a threat to Gamboa as Rigo does to Donaire or GGG does to Martinez. It's a match that doesn't make sense right now, but I would still like to see it somewhere down the line. I'm hoping that either Juanma can rebound quickly @130 or that Gamboa gets beat. Those are the only events that would put them back on equal footing and make the fans more enthusiastic about the match-up.

Oh, I was purely talking about right now.

If Juanma get's a few decent wins and looks good then I'd have no issue with the fight taking place. I thought this was suggesting Juanma-Gamboa next, which is senseless to me.

I don't think Juanma will make it back though tbh, but I hope he does and then Gamboa can do what he would have done a couple of years ago.

LOL I said something similar a couple of weeks ago.

I mean who the hell cares about Gamboa-Lopez now? That fight used to be listed by almost every poster as a top 3 match up. Dumb ass Bob Arum couldn't capitalize on the hype, wanted to let it "marinate" and instead overcooked it, burnt it and it had to be thrown away in the garbage. Left it's burnt smell all over the kitchen. It could have been a highlight reel TKO for Gamboa. It could still be, but Salido already done it twice.

Make Gamboa-Broner NOW. Enough with the "marinating" and building up.

I would like to see that fight if they fought in the same weight class in the future.

Agree, would rather see Gamboa vs Uchiyama.
