So true, but most people have never made gains themselves. So, when they see change, they always look for another reason besides hard work.

Let me ask you, were any of your clients professional athletes who had been training at a high level for decades? If so, were any of them approximately 40 years old when they made visible physical strides in the span of three months? There's a big difference between a coach potato who's never worked out making a marked improvement and someone who's pushed the envelope of their physical potential for years.

          • i think most people at 140-147 would have got KOd from that shot, juan said he had been training a whole year for pac... hes looked huge in his last 2 fights its lifting weights and doing strength training that made him bigger n stronger and was smart because juan was losing this fight and his only chance was a ko he knew pac man always left himself open so he trained for this outcome! pac fans just stop it, when pac man went up in weight destroying 147-154 pounders u had nothing to say! he lost hes a great fighter just move on it will hurt for a while!

            • pac got KO because of a perfect counter punch that he did not see coming.

take out those two punches and marquez was getting beat on.

i like pac's chances if a 5th fight took place.

The difference is that Marquez went from strictly conditioning and boxing based training to a more dynamic weight lifting and conditioning program. Aside from that, a professional was able to transform his nutrition which also makes a huge difference. I know my situation is much different because I'm younger, but I weighed between 120-135 lbs all through my early twenties while running a lot and minimal weight training. In my late 20's I have shifted to high intensity interval training and more weight training and am now 175-77, without the use of any PED's. And of course I am no elite athlete but like the previous post said, with nutrition and training changes dramatic changes are possible.

Marquez seems to be an example of an elite athlete who left the old school traditional mexican training methods and adopted scientifically proven modern methods and got results.

He has reiterated time and time again, he is willing to submit to any test any time. So unless there is some proof, all of these allegations are bull****. I'm not blindly following anyone though, and I would change my mind if he tested positive for a PED.

                • aint no way anyone would say marquez was clean last saturday with a straight face......

the ko was a perfect shot no doubt esp that pac walked to it but he dropping pac like a log with ease in the 3rd round ?...hell no, that was way too powerful to be thrown by marquez...

                  • it's bullshit and hypocrisy. marquez trained for the knock-out, physically and stylistically, and it paid off. it was a huge gamble, and could have potentially resulted in his own demise -- as we saw from the shaky round five -- but he played it to perfection and the boxing gods smiled on him (and freddie roach did a shit job at prepping his man for the toughest fight of his life). until i see a test result that indicates otherwise, marquez is as clean as any other big time boxer.

pacquiao accepted the loss like a man. you guys should take a leaf out of his book.

The knockdown in the 3rd round was due to Manny being off balance. The shot did hurt him but it buckled his legs as he was moving backwards.
