Why should it be at 143-144?

He just knocked out Pacquaio at 147.

Pacquiao weighed in at 147 so Floyd can too. There's no need for double standards.

To make it as fair as possible. Marquez weighed in at 143. Why should he have to step up again? especially when FMJ can make a lower weight easily.

Hell Marquez was losing last night's fight on the cards and had his nose bust open, let's not pretend he's comfortable fighting at WW.

Losing or not, he won the fight and in great fashion. He's small at WW but he's obviously very legit at WW.

And I don't believe Mayweather can make 144 Lbs comfortably. When was the last time he was ever near 144 Lbs? Been a long time.

Marquez didn't magically acquire the skills to beat a fighter that he didn't win a single round against. Marquez is an ATG great, don't get me wrong - but as we all know "styles make fights", and Marquez hasn't really changed his style. This thread is dumb.

another possible 12 rounds to zip shutout in front of your crowd is probably not the way to go lol. beat down some bums in tijuana is a better option.

But the money, bro. JMM's earning power is at it's absolute peak. Put that together with Money May and both guys will get huge paydays. No other opponent brings that to the table for Juan.

I'm assuming of course that Marquez will fight again. If he walks away now then of course this is all moot. And it's probably better to go out on a high note.
