Yeah, at least in his other fights he did try, against Roy he tried in the last couple of rounds a little bit, but when he got close to Roy, the ref would break them. But I agree, he did next to nothing for almost the whole fight, and when he did do something, it seemed like he was just going through the motions, with no real intent of hurting RJJ.

Byrd really lost. He won because judges did not want him to lose. That is it. Nothing else can be said about Byrd.

Byrd presently is in a very good position because he is fighting a scrub in McCline next. He will perform his normal game plan and come out a winner. Eventually he will have to face Vitali and that will be his judgement day.
