Id like him to do something asap, but ill give him another year to step his game up before i comlletely change my tune and start blasting him. And cotto/kirkland this year wont do it for me. He shouldnt be fighting only 2x per yr right now.

I dont like Golden Boy's matchmaking as all S far as his development as a well rounded fighter as of late.

He tried to fight PW and Kirkland so can't blame him for the fights falling through. Also everyone thought Ortiz would have been a solid test before he ***ed up. GBP are trying to build Canelo up as a PPV star, how many PPV would he sell if he fights Trout? Not many. Don't see why Canelo gets so much hate.

Some have labelled him as a top 3 LMW while having only fought one true LMW. I've heard fans call him the "future of boxing" which I find to be such a cringe-worthy statement when you factor in how little he's done to live up to that phrase. Some have this thought that he's just so much better than Trout/Molina/Lara/Vanes, when in essence, he hasn't done anything to separate himself from them. Some fans rank him closer to Mayweather than they do to the other 154lb fighters. When there's a group of fans that hold him in such high regard, how could he NOT receive criticism? Look at his track record and tell me that there's nothing wrong with the way he's being developed. He's just a side-show like Chavez Jr, even worse than that because Chavez is probably killing himself to make MW. At least Chavez is fighting MWs.
