I was, but we know Canelo isn't gonna fight Molina or K9. As long as Floyd remains in the sport, GBP will continue with their careful match-making. I expect Canelo to fight Cotto next, while Trout will fight Molina/K9.

Whilst I get what you're saying, he is the WBC Champion of the World. He is not WBC Champion of Young Guys That Shouldn't Have To Fight Top Guys To Keep It.

Benitez didn't beat a HOFer at 17, then go on to do nothing just because he was young as ****. By the same age, 22 and change, he had gone to become a three division world champ and had fought/beaten HOFers Palomino and Ray Leonard, as well as top division guys and champions like Maurice Hope, Randy Shields, Emilliano Villa, Bruce Curry, Pete Ranzany, etc etc.

Three prime, legit, current champion HOFers by 22! Imagine if Canelo had fought 3 x prime Shane Mosley's already?

          ****** thread of the day.
Canelo made sure to run out of there before Trout called him out. That was no accident.

No one's comparing him to benitez. He's done a decent amount compared to other 21 yr olds.

Seriously and unfortunately, those days appear to be over benny.

He has time, but Golden Boy seems to be taking what Arum has done with Pac the last two years and is trying to stretch it over an entire career with Alvarez. The man's ready for a good fight, let's see what he has. If he beat just one, no one would question him. As much of an Alvarez hater as I sound like, I think he's the real deal as far as ability. I just won't give him that credit till he proves it.

Its not an entire career, dude is like 20. But I hear whatchur saying. Its about time. While o cant really blame him too much of he fights cotto, im afraid all this selectivity is gonna make him soft and not hungry in the long run. Which will kill him against similarly skilled hungry guys.

Should we check titlist ages and if they are under 25 expect nothing because "they are young"???
