Cotto is still more skilled than Canelo. He has more actual boxing skill. He's just not as physical. Canelo will give Trout problems because he's bigger, stronger. and younger than Cotto.

His punches will hurt Trout a lot more. He will have an easier time inside because he's quicker right now. It's a different type of fight. I think Trout will have just as easy of a time landing, but he will be getting hit HARD. Canelo is like what Cotto was at 140.

Cotto actually has a Strong High Guard which can be difficult to penetrated especially at 154 with those Bigger Gloves! And Cotto can move around the ring a bit, has decent footwork...footwork much better then Canelo's that is for sure


Once again fans and their PRIDE hahaha...I think Trout has a easier time with Canelo then he did with Cotto...Trout would be way too tricky and clever and difficult for a young fighter like Alvarez to figure out especially at this point in his career in which he hasn't been tested AT ALL!

Hey Trout it doesnt matter if you punch like a bzitch. Cotto looked worse after Cotto Margarito 2 and that was from about 5 punches by Margarito(no dirty wraps). Alvarez would pound Trout if he mans up and fights him.

Canelo's defense is tighter than Cotto's which isn't saying much.

The problem for Trout is he makes you pay after you hit him.

Canelo beats him, Trout isn't difficult to hit as well. Canelo is deceptively fast and unlike Miguel, he has a right hand and really good punching power.
