He's most definitely too small for the division. It's about body type.

I don't know about him not being able to make 147...it's possible he really can't. He's a thick guy, might just have heavy bones. I'm like that, my entire life I've always weighed way more than one would think.

It's quite possible he outgrew WW and because of his body type he's going to have a hard time with the elite at 154. It was crystal clear that Trouts size was a big factor, it definitely wore on Cotto.

So I don't really think it has anything to do with "oh ppl were saying he can't meet Pac at 150 and are now saying he's too small for JMW"....I mean that could be true.

I'm sure he could have gotten down to 150 but not 147. But either way, it's possible to outgrow one division and just not be big enough for the next one and I think that's the case with Cotto.

he's not a big JMW but he's not a small JMW either and most of all he's not a WW. Cmon guys, give trout his credit. He just had a tough and very conservative style that cotto couldn't handle plus the physical advantages. when he fought mayweather everyone was saying that that was the healthy cotto. cmon man?

Trout was simply too big, fast, strong, and stylistically a bad matchup for him. He also seemed more out of shape than usual. I still like his chances against Canelo if that fight happens though.

didn't you think bradley beat pac? i wouldn't be talking about ******ed posters if I was you Yes Cotto is too small for JMW. Only ricans believe that he was to small for for welter because pac beat him now he is too small for jmw because trout beat him.

I agree, and I also agree that it's BS that he can't make 150 or 147.

A very fair and objective assessment.

No denying Trout's size was a BIG factor.
