i was about to suggest cotto/k9 in this thread. you don't think cotto should think about going back down to 147? there's malignaggi, maidana, alexander. or do you think cotto is a little too big and more comfortable at 154 now?

147 could be the ideal weight for Cotto but that division is too stacked at the moment. There's also Bradley, Pacquiao, JMM, and other guys. Cleaning that division would be out of the question since Cotto is on his way out. I like the Bundrage fight at 154.

Problem is Cotto can't make 147 anymore. His best weight is 150 and once he goes lower than that he starts to get drained. i think he could make it but he would be weak and the 8oz gloves won't help him either.

yeah, but i mean he can try and test his luck, especially against someone like malignaggi. he try and grab that wba belt to see how he is, if he feels good, he can go after someone like alexander or bradley. it's a possibility imo, but i agree, he probably feels he's done with that division.

i think 154 is a tougher division for cotto than 147 tbh. guys like lara, trout. alvarez, and angulo are naturally bigger than him. guys like malignaggi, bradley, alexander, and maidana look to be the same size as cotto. i'd favor cotto over guys like malignaggi, alexander than guys like vanes, alvarez.
