Something I just can't understand about fans regarding fights that can't be made

Where did these fans come from, the one's who are now bigging up Canelo as a great opponent for Mayweather next?

Just a month ago, Canelo was being sh-tted on as an opponent, a lot of people were saying that it would be a cherrypick. When I say a lot of people, I don't mean 2-3 people posters say it and then I go and make a thread about how 1,000 posters are saying this. No, the majority of NSB were playing down Mayweather-Canelo when it looked like it could have been made. Of course not me, I've wanted Mayweather-Canelo for about 1 1/2-2 years now.

So now that the thought of Canelo vs Cotto/Trout for May 4th, gets closer and closer, everybody all of a sudden is saying Canelo would be a great opponent and if Floyd picks to fight him then he is a Top 5 ATG[exaggeration on my part]. Mind you, between this change of heart from those saying Canelo is now a good opponent, Canelo has done nothing new. He beat Lopez, got crapped on as a Mayweather opponent when it was announced that he wanted Floyd. Now, nothing new has happened, no one has done anything, Floyd hasn't fought, Cotto hasn't fought yet which changes later on tonight, and Canelo hasn't fought yet. But somehow things changed now that people see Floyd probably will not get Canelo in May because GBP will do the much better fight Canelo vs [potentially] Cotto.

If you don't understand my wording, here it is in short:

Why do you guys love asking for fights that can not be done, but when they CAN be done you downplay it?

I would not be surprised if Mayweather-Guerrero doesn't happen, anti-Floyd fans will then question why aren't we getting Mayweather-Guerrero, when actually in a current poll right now Canelo is destroying Guerrero as Floyd's next opponent[rightfully so].

Disclaimer: I would love Canelo/Martinez/Pacquiao vs Mayweather next, and just see Guerrero as a decent fight for Floyd. But the fact is Martinez is taken, Pacquiao-Rios is 99.9% signed for April[just like the Mosley/Margarito fights where both fighters were promised to be next, even before Pacquiao's then upcoming fight], and Canelo vs Cotto should pretty much be a lock if Cotto wins.

Guerrero looks like the more obvious choice if Floyd were to fight in May, so Alvarez potentially not being the most likely opponent anymore means Mayweather is ducking. You know that's how it works around here.

If it changes and Alvarez looks like the choice, then Mayweather will be ducking Guerrero.

who shitted on Alvarez as an opponent for Floyd?
haven't seen that at all, most have been clamoring for it
Pac-Floyd is long dead, the demand has shifted elsewhere
people been wanting Alvarez to step it up, and Floyd's a huge step up
people saying he'll lose are right, but that doesn't mean he's not credible
same thing goes for Guerrero now after his wins over Berto and Aydin

Canelo-Floyd is interesting as ****, I got no issue with that fight and never have. I haven't seen many complaining. Its a fight that makes sense.

but you know how NSB goes, man.

Is Floyd vs. Canelo being ****ted on that much?

Outside of Pacquiao and Martinez I'm sure he would be the preferred opponent for almost everybody. The Canelo vs. Guerrero poll was like 38-6 or something like that.

I swear if Floyd and Canelo was being discussed like it was earlier the same people saying they rather see that fight would be saying he is ducking Guerrero

Mayweather-Alvarez was heavily critisized when it looked like that was next (Before Cotto-Mayweather was announced)

It isn't now though, for some reason.

                  I'm not sure why.
