I sometimes think that Manny's lack of English and silly giggling with buboy makes people think he's humble... he certainly dont flap his gums like Floyd does but he aint some sweet boy who isnt trading off the M8 brand he created.... I also beleive that Pac has it within his gift to say no to vacant titles and catchweights if he wanted... but he wants an edge like any of would probably want to

I dont want to create a different benchmark just coz a fighter is outspoken when he's not in the ring... either you criticise both of them or you praise both of them for what they do in the ring... its the discrepancy i dont like

fair post. In my opinion, only thing that bothers me about Floyd is that he doesn't fight a lot. But from a business standpoint I see why. Like he said it's like the superbowl, the more he sits out the more interest. And in reality who is out there for him to fight other than the 3 mentioned names? If he fought 2 to 3 times a year who would be left? Atleast now with all the sc****s we can say that guy has a chance. If he beat them already what would be left?

we are in a different era of boxing-its not competition driven but star driven. SRL or Tyson had to fight 3 times a year, floyd and ODH not so much. floyd limits his exsposure which makes his fight a must watch event.

The sun rises every day-no one makes a big deal. Haley's comet comes around once every 70 or so years and its a news event.

But we aint TMT or working for Al HAymon - we are boxing fans and "good business" doesnt get you a pass imo

Floyd makes money from being the supposed "best in the world P4P".... if you want that title then you gotta do the hard part which is to keep it.... once a year aint enough for me... as a fan of the sport I cant get down with that

SRL and Tyson got my respect but you can't lie SRL had more stipulations in his contract than any boxer in history when he fought Hagler and Tyson declined to fight Holyfield back in the day without testing so every named fighter makes his own rules and fight when they want

Trust me I wish more top fighters would fight but who can he really fight? Honestly I'm more mad Donaire and Mares ain't fighting yet. And Manny fighting Marquez again instead of all the other guys out there. I mean we all as fans suffer but what can you do? But I put guys on the same field if one gets a pass the other should because they all in the same business

I get on this site sometimes and all I hear is Floyds a coward floyd doesn't fight anyone Floyd is overrated etc. But first I must say any guy who laces up gloves is not a coward, to think so is ******. Of course it's a business and some guys may make smart business decisions but no boxer is a coward. Second why is it that Floyd has to fight middle weights in martinez, junior middle weights in canelo, and go back on his word with manny when every thing manny wants now Floyd agreed on in 09 when manny was looking invincible and took off the table after manny declined and started to decline? In reality Floyd could fight at 140 seeing as how he never comes in weighing over 150 but yet anyone he fights other than those 3 guys is a cherry pick but yet these other guys can fight anyone they want and be call pound for pound and atgs. Why is this if Floyd is really an overrated hype job?

Even the haters know how great Floyd is. Many bet against him every time and he proves them wrong each time. Problem is, he hasn't fought the "fighter of the decade" and beat him. So they will continue to say he's a coward, scared, ball-less, nut-less, etc., etc.

With Arum out of the picture, the fight might happen and the haters will be scrambling for cover.
