a purse like that maintains that trout has to win the fight if he wants his life to change. you've got to figure he'll be due for a million dollar payday if he can beat miguel cotto, especially it's a spectacular win or a knockout.


these purses are lower than i expected. i thought cotto would take at least a million and a half, and i wasn't expecting trout to take that much less than 500 grand.

cotto's taking a lot of risk for a relatively small payday. you're not going to look great against a guy like trout, even when you win. IMO this fight was a bad idea. if he cruises by trout easily, looks good, and doesn't get a scratch, i'll be wrong.

Agree. Trout is no easy fight. but all miguel has to do is win and then his 2013 will include floyd or canelo and then maybe a 2nd manny (should he agree to go down in weight) fight.
