Why do people say Cotto and Canelo, when Cotto has his hands full already with trout?

Floyd hasnt fought for a while so why not Canelo and Floyd? If Canelo beats Floyd, im sure people would still like to see Canelo vs Cotto.
However should Cotto lose to trout, then maybe Canelo vs Cotto might not be so big. No big deal there if it dont happen.

much more interested in Canelo vs Cotto than Canelo vs Floyd...Canelo vs Cotto would be much more competitive than if Canelo faced Floyd...Canelo's defense is average at best and he gets hit way too often....he would be pot shot to hell against Floyd

Ortiz beat an undefeated Andre Berto for the WBC Welterweight Title.......Canelo's beat no one. Though I would love to see Floyd make easy work of Canelo, he hasn't really done anything noteworthy that even deserves mention, in terms of a clash with Mayweather.

I agere his level of opposition isn't up to a certain standard but at least he beat the guy who beat Ortiz. And let's face it - though I like the guy - Ortiz very narrowly beat Berto and he's the only guy that's on his resume. Looking from Mayweathers view: why does the ghost deserve a chance if Canelo doesn't? Also looking from Mayweathers view, other than pacquiao and potentially maravilla - Canelo will make more money in PPV than anyone else. So I still think Canelo should be high up there. And he'd give Mayweather a real go.

Canelos seriously the most undeserving fighter ive seen in a long time to fight a draw seriously. Has he fought a legit 154 fighter yet ? Ranked top 10? All i remember since hes won the belt fought people going up in weight for him.

I like both fights, but he should include Trout's name in the mix in the event he comes out the victor in the Cotto fight. Don't think he will though. But regardless.

Both Cotto and Floyd are on their way out. They only have a one or two fights left. Your career is ahead of you.

Here's an idea, show some heart, move up to middle weight and fight Gennady Golovkin or Dimitry Pirog. These two dudes can really bomb and it would be a great test for you.

But you just want to fight little guys like when you sucker punched Archie Solis in the street and blamed it on his brother.
