  • Not over the moon but saw it coming.

It's a solid fight but I sincerely hope he fights twice next year.

I may be alone here but I'd prefer this fight over Alvarez, at this point.

Am sure he can fight Casamayor, Would that be good enough for you?

You're a long time retired and I wouldnt begrudge a fighter like G making some good money, fact is he hasnt really earnt it yet and from Floyd's side its a pretty pathetic choice of opponent.

Alvarez seems the bigger threat to me, though I like Guerrero, and Guerrero has done much more to earn the fight than Alvarez ever did. If Mayweather fights a bigger fight later in the year, then I wouldn't have a major problem with Guerrero, though I don't exactly care about it.

Floyd can fight all the Guerreros in the world he wants, but he better fight more than once a year this time.
Well, lets not go overboard now shall we? Clottey never actually beat a top prime champion at 147. At least Guerrero beat Berto and Aydin. Clottey just looked good losing to guys so everyone now says he was a beast...."yeah, he was a beast", but still lost every single big fight he ever had.

Sadly, very sadly, beating Berto is better than any win Clottey has. Guerrero is also two division, multiple time champion. Clottey won a vacant title for one fight before losing it again. Guerrero is a better name and fighter, with more grit and determination overall than Clottey.

If Martinez was serious about fighting Mayweather, he would move down to 154 and prove he can make the weight healthy. Every fight that he doesn't convinces me more and more that he's just wishing for the paycheck, and isn't that serious about beating Mayweather.

                    • As a big PBF fan f#(k the supposed Guerrero fight. If fans really want PBF to fight twice in 2013 if he fights Guerrero that fight has to tank badly gate and PPV wise. If PBF makes his usual 35-40+mill then he has no reason to fight again in 2013 but if the fight does poorly then PBF might have to fight again in 2013.

If PBF fights Guerrero I can no longer call myself a fan of his. PBF can't keep making offers of no PPV upside to Manny and expect people to act like that was a legit offer to make the fight. I loved Manny's comment, facial expression and demeanor when he said PBF is trying to treat me like a bum boxer. That was real and truthful and all respect to Manny for not even entertaining sucha BS offer!

It's not even about Manny really cause that fight ain't gonna happen for numerous reasons. PBF can still fight Martinez.
