If Mayweather had problems with Cotto then he will find himself in bigger trouble with Alvarez.

Not saying Mayweather wouldn't win but he will take the biggest beating of his career. Whether people want to believe or not Alvarez is something special.

I like how the Ortiz fight is now a bad choice. People liked it because Ortiz had just beaten a top 3 WW and WBC champion, he was young, big, strong, taller than Floyd and had the whole "i've knocked down every opponent i've faced" gimmick. Now the fight was the wrong choice.

Anyway, Martinez has Chavez Jr lined up for 2013, Pacquiao if he beats Marquez has Rios lined up for April, if Cotto beats Trout GBP will most likely make Canelo-Cotto for May 4th. That leaves nobody but Berto, two Haymon fighters have never fought each other, correct me if i'm wrong. Berto and Mayweather are not fighting eachother.

That leaves Mayweather with Marcos Maidana, Lucas Matthysse, Marquez rematch, James Kirkland, Alfredo Angulo.

It's stressful debating with people who either weren't following the sport or are that forgetful.

Mayweather/Canelo would **** up Cotto/Canelo so I'd rather see Mayweather/Guerrero (no way Floyd fights Berto because they're both with Al Haymon).

Yeah that's THE fight to make at 154 right now. They should do that on May 5th.

Then winner gets Floyd. If Cotto beats Trout and Alvarez he would have done more than enough to earn a rematch.

If Mayweather is returning Cinco De Mayo again, then I am sure they (GBP) would prefer it to be Guerrero or Alvarez

It all Depends on Tonight to be honest, if Guerrero wins in a good fight then I think that Makes Mayweather vs Guerrero much more acceptable

But Roger Mayweather recently talking about Mayweather quietly meeting with Arum leaves the door open for Mayweather vs Bradley I think, maybe that is why Bradley declined some of those fights that was offered to him because he is waiting for another BIGGER FIGHT!

I'd rather he fought Canelo. A fight with Berto would be really one-sided, Floyd does everything Berto does but better. Guerrero's fights are usually pretty mediocre, and he just moved up to 147 so he probably needs a fight at 154 before he can challenge May. Canelo on the other hand is a big money fight, and he's proven he's worth at least some of the hype, beating everyone put in front of him convincingly. Ideally, he fights Cotto before taking on Mayweather to get adequately prepped for A-level opposition, but unless Mayweather's content with waiting, or fighting Pacquiao or Sergio (*gasp*), there's noone out there with enough upside to make it interesting. Guerrero isn't that guy yet and Berto almost definitely isn't.

That would be ideal but Floyd is the new Oscar, he can **** up potentially great matchups because everybody wants to fight him and nobody would turn him down.

I don't think anyone other than shade darkar, who has been very consistent with his hate for both Mayweather and Pacquiao's choice of opponents lately, is saying Ortiz was a bad choice.

At the same time, we shouldn't act like many people really expected much of him going into that fight. There were the typical haters saying Ortiz had a chance, otherwise people pretty much expected Floyd to win easy. It was looked at as a bad opponent, but good choice fight to lead into bigger things, but those bigger things didn't happen. Which is the pattern with Mayweather other than the Mosley fight.
