What a shock, a British butt-plug brings up Lenox Lewis.

People argue that Sanders should have been credited with a knockdown in the first round but the ref ruled it a slip. Hard to tell.

Nobody ever got him down. The uppercut Lewis landed on Vitali was MASSIVE, and he took it really well. It's too tough to say what would have happened in that fight, Vitali was leading on the cards but IMO it should have been 3-3 when it was stopped, and Lewis may have been gaining the upper hand.

That uppercut Lewis gave Vitali would have knocked out pretty much anybody. Vitali is a beast.

you're right when you say that lewis was beginning to turn the direction of the fight, but you're wrong to predict what would have happened... just as many are wrong for predicting that Vitali would have stopped Lewis. The fight was stopped by a cut... that's a fact.. anything else is opinion.

            ................

Vitali was knackered, and to think he was the younger man and Lewis was past his prime

Most guys couldn't put Vitali down with a lump hammer.

Oleg Maskaev knocked him out in 1 round as an amatuer.

So the answer to your question is yes.

This could have been called a knockdown even though the punch was blocked :

Nope. Vitali is made of iron.
