  • Has Vitali ever been put down from a punch?

A legal punch in the boxing ring?

Regardless of whether it got an 8 count or not?

No, never. Closest I recall to him going down was being momentarily staggered by a counter left from Corrie Sanders.

nope, vitali was leading on all 3 scorecards before the stoppage, good work by the ringside doc though, who knows what permanent damages that deep gash would have caused

It would never had made to to the cards, Lewis was landing bombs at will, a few more uppercuts and Vitali wud be on the floor pouring out blood

The fight started going away from Vitali, he was tired, and it became a inside game and we all know Vitali has no inside game, and Lewis is great on the inside. Those uppercuts were causing a lot of problems for Vitali, he is lucky it was stopped.

lol yeah the guy who's never been knockdown is going to get KO'd not the guy who's been KO'd twice. Anybody with half a brain knew the longer the fight would of went on the worse it would of been for Lennox.

                    Get real jimmy

Vitali started out strong was beating Lewis to the jab, then it turned into a all out brawl because Lewis was unable to execute his jab game plan. After round 4 they were fighting on the inside and thats when it started going downhill for Vitali, he ate up some huge bombs, he was tired, his face was a mess.

The longer it went on, the more it swayed towards the more experienced fighter who had been in with better competition. Vitali didnt once hurt Lewis in the fight, not once, Lewis however rocked Vitali with a great uppercut which wobbled him and he held on for dear life till the bell went.

Lewis being Knocked out in the past has no bearing, Vitali has no inside game and that was his downfall against an old aged Lewis.

If the Kilts had inside game they wud be great to watch, soon as you get on the inside they just cant cope.
