1- Just because you have never been knocked out don't mean your chin is strong. Trinidad was only knocked out once by Hopkins, but his chin was never his strong area. He have the ABILITY to recover from kds, but he always suffers easy KDS.

chin??no he has 0 defense and fights dumb,he let Robert push him all around the ring at will,refused to use his legs to turn Robert and couldnt hurt him because he didnt get full extension on his punches,Robert looked far from great and really shows how poor Berto fought.i overestimated Berto and won't make that mistake again.he is just a dumb fighter

Roy Jones Jr had a weak chin, but he protected it very well with his flashy flash, blingy bling bing style. And he was never seriously in trouble during his prime. After he got older and his reflexes diminished, he became a Ko victim.

Andre Berto don't have Roy reflexes, what he does have is a combination of things working in his favor up to now:

1- The fighters that was able to exploit his weak chin are either 1-feather fist(Robert) or morons (Ortiz) who can't fully finish him off.

2- Berto or 'Eggeto' have a great technique of holding.clinching/surviving that have enabled him to recover form his brutal KDS.

One day a serious puncher who is also not a moron tree will fight Berto and it will be highlight reel worthy.

I find it very amusing that a lot of the so called 'veteran posters' on this site always come up with a variety of 'theories' regarding fighters and their demise.

I think the kids chin is probably decent! His legs don't look strong early in his fights and he seems to get hit with punches he doesn't see when I think the shots are obvious! Sometimes guys go down from a combination of things, its possible his chin point is weal or his back jaw set isn't right. Theres guys who are uneffected by temple shots and others just loose everything when their hit!
This kid showed alot of courage fighting on with his sight comprimized. If I were in his corner at the 9th or 10th round I'd stop it! He didn't have the power to stop Robert so why take a chance on ruining orbital socket skin or damage bone or possibly nerves. For some of you here to call this kid names is ridiculous, he was very brave and was compromized badly! Tuff kid! Ray

Guerrero's previous fight had me thinking he would get blasted at some point. I was wrong, and glad to be. I like Guerrero much more.
