Haye's style is to wait for the opportunity, hit the opponent hard and take him out with a flurry. He doesn't even train to throw a lot of punches because it's not his game.

Dirrell lands counters to score points and runs if he thinks he's in the lead.

It's a sport of very fine margins and the split second he lost to a damaged toe may well have cost him. He got close on a few occasions early on in the fight and a little extra may have helped him land the punch he was looking for.

Still, parading his pinky in the ring was a ****ing ****** thing to do.

There's like 4 Dirrell fans on NSB. I guess times are tough for Haye fans when they have to gang up on these to make themselves feel good about their guy.

Gang up? No, just trying to explain the differences between running and countering to the people that don't know the difference.

                I'm talking about the thread.

And cmon, "countering" and "fighting in a countering posture" are not the same. The first involves taking risks and throwing punches. Haye mostly forgot about that part, which was no surprise having seen the Valuev fight.

It's hard to counter if you don't get countering opportunities. Haye fought completely different to the Valuev fight, how did Wlad land the jab which won him rounds? By Haye being stood in front of Wlad with his hands down. He thought he got under Wlad's skin enough to make Wlad come and fight, which obviously wasn't the case and he had no plan B. When Haye threw punches Wlad would step back hold and lean on Hayes back and neck. Haye actually landed more power punches than Wlad.

Direll is bigger then froch? Direll fought a lot of his am career at middle weight and under. If you see him in person his a lean ass stick he may be taller but bigger hell no.

Also he won that froch fight or draw woulda done well.

But haye ran around nd flopped his way to ud loss and then fake retired.

Plus hayes from the uk and Direll is American
                    That's the real reason.

                      Another one, ran around? LOL

Edit: I'm obviously swimming against the tide. People that don't actually watch closely enough to understand tactics or style. I'm a call it a night.
