No. No top heavyweight I have seen today throws punches at that rate for very long. I wonder if Bowe and Holyfield fought like that all fight or just in spurts. Not many lightweights fight that hard for very long. The young Holyfield could average over 100 punches thrown per round over a whole fight and that was one of the things that made him an all time great. Joe Frazier, Jack Dempsey, and Rocky Marciano could set a pace like that too but most heavyweights of any era don't fight that hard for very long at a time.

No. And it's sad. The heavyweight division has deteriorated so badly.

That being said Foreman was badly gassed in Ali's fight. But he rarely needed to go on distance. It would be similar with today's bests.
The main reason Foreman was so badly gassed was not only because of his high workrate but because of the temperature. Just like Ali-Frazier the fight took place outside, the temperature was 100+ degrees with over 90% humidity, having a high humidity makes it feel hotter than what it really is and makes it very hard to breath.

My uncle told me he's been in 120 degree weather in Arizona, however since the heat is dry it feels like nothing compared to our 100 degree weather with 90% humidity. Idk if you've ever experienced heat like this but you can get tired from just walking lol.

The REAL reason prime Vitali lost to Lennox is because he has no inside game. None of the modern Heavyweights do. Wlad CANT uppercut!!!

Thats what fighters of the past did during holds, they FOUGHT THERE WAY OUT, not lean and wait for a nanny ref to break them up. The Klitschkos would get destroyed by fighters of the past.

Its because VK took the fight on 10days notice.

They both took the fight on ten days notice you ******. However, both were already in training for a fight around the same time so that has nothing to do with it at all. VK was in great shape. It was Lewis who was in poor form.

Superheavyweights killed it. Our average heavies have to turn into lard asses to compete.
