Can this version of MARES defeat rigo?

Poon cuts a ring off better, better defense, his chin is easily as good if not better than Mares's, hes more experienced, he hits harder, hes faster, better gastank, better combination puncher.

Poonsawat is flatout better than the rather mediocre brawler.

Its a fight I'd love to see actually as it would be an absolute war for as long as it lasted but I'd definitely be riding with Poon to stop him.

Mares is just one of these guys, quite new on the scene, he gets a few decent victories and gets hyped too high heaven. Hes doing well for himself but he'll get swatted by Donaire, Rigondeaux, Poonsawat.

Isn't that what fanatics of every up-and-coming fighter do? The fact is, we don't know exactly what he IS yet, because he still has questions to answer. If he can handle Poonsawat, then there's a good chance he could deal with Mares too.

Amateur pedigree, skillset, styles.
Corboda, Ramos, Marroquinn are certainly worth mentioning as good wins.
