Why was Cotto able to beat Margarito in the rematch?

tied margarito up a lot, used his body weight,
pivoted instead of backing out in lines,
ofcourse the plaster/pacman had something to do with it also

Margarito did not have plaster,Cotto showed better movement and Margarito only had 1 eye.

I'll give credit to Steward and Pedro for instilling a back to basics approach after the Pac loss on Cotto. Improving his technique, shoring up some flaws, which they're still working on and putting in a gameplan that is more than just walking through punches. It really was one of his smartest fights he's ever had

I mean yes Margarito was faded but Jesus Christ Cotto took the brutal beating from Margs in the first fight and a brutal beating from Pac as well. It's not like Margs was the only one who took marked punishment before that fight.

It makes it easier for people to discredit Cotto, pretending that he too wasn't involved in just as many battles as Margarito.

This entire site was claiming that Margarito was going to force Cotto to a knee, even earlier in the rematch. Cotto pitches a 9-0 shutout, and the excuses and hate come roaring back.

Margarito was going to lose whether he had 1, 2 or 3 eyes. Cotto is just too technically superior to him, that was it.

Margaritos punches weren't as hard as they were in the rematch because his wraps had no remnants of cement particles that harden when wet. In the first fight the plaster/cement remnants went undiscovered by responsible people, and then they hardened which forced Cotto to retire late in the first fight.

God had mercy on Margaritos soul. He just removed him from boxing, and let him keep his sight.
