Now it turns out that it's his father's fault that he was dominated by a superior boxer. Yeah, especially when Jr decided that it was a good idea to train in his freaking living room instead of going to the gym to train with Freddie Roach.

C'mon, I agree that it's not good to hear different opinions from different trainers all of the time, but Jr lost because he wasn't listening to anybody, he was just thinking that he was invincible and as we saw during the fight, he wasn't.

His Dad was giving great advice, like when he was in the swimmimg pool he said attack with the right hand and come back with the left hook thats exactley the combo that hurt, knocked down and almost knocked sergia the **** out ,he was totally blind sided by a left hook, Jr is an idiot his dad has his best interests at heart ,training in a living room? gimmie a break,,Roach said he sparred 150 rounds less than he should have and normally does, plus wasnt even showing up and smoking pot? gimme a break, the kid is an idiot he and only HE blew what was an extremely winnable fight for him.

didnt train, was way overconfident against the best fighter hes faced yet and simply didnt do enough,he clearly lacked training wasnt cutting off the ring,he just let the other guy just run away and away and away, whilst racking up points, apparatley Jr has learned NOTHING from his loss now hes blaming Daddy instead of blaming his own sorry ass work ethic. It wasnt a matter of "too many cooks in the kitchen' it was a matter of a lazy ass kid thinking he had that fight in the bag and severley underestimating adude he couldve easily beat if he had done things properly.

I could see his dad as a hindrance to his training in way if he gives opposite advice from his trainer. Problem was Chavez didn't listen to either of them.

Wow... what a ****in waste. Of course he should do things like his father did. His dad wasn't just a good fighter, he was one of the greatest of all time easy, a mother****ing legend. Anything he says in respect to training and fighting should be considered ****ing bible as simple as that.

That reminds me of Nacho Beristain the best trainer of all time was asked how does he agree to train a fighter. He said the training is strict, rigorous, and at times downright torturous, so he looks for a fighter that will not question anything he asks him to do.

16+ forged from 0 to World champs later.... I think he knows whats up.

Agreed. There can only ever be one boss in a training camp, Chavez Sr being around seems an unnecessary complication.

Chavez is a spoiled brat with a famous dad. He doesn't listen to Roach doesn't train hard. Mexico will follow Canelo even more. Just all around a better fighter to represent Mexico.
