    Good fight.

I don't really care about the eliminator portion of this. It is what it is. And I still expect David Haye to get figured into this equation before long with the WBC belt and Vitali likely retiring in the future.

So is this fight really going down? Id love to see this fight and it sounds like a fight Epix should pick up. I unfortunately don't see this fight happening.

The semi-eliminators are that much better because to get that title shot you have to beat two top opponents.
This. . . I sometimes think people just say "boxing is going down the ****ter" to sound "in the know," when actually, what is happening is good for the sport.

Now I know the WBC has done their fair share of shady business, along with all the other sanctioning bodies, but forcing eliminators, and semi-eliminators, per these potential fights, is great for boxing. Especially HW boxing, as one half of the Klitschko era looks set to retire.

Fury vs. Arreola, which will be the winners of those aforementioned fights, will be a cracker of a fight I've been hoping for. . .

Throw Mitchell/Banks in the equation, and it's even more mouth-watering. . . Fury, Arreola, Mitchell (the likely winners of those fights) fighting one another. yes, please?
yes, i feel the same way...

                You're so blind.

You make it sound like it was the WBC who forced Fury-Boytsov to fight when Boytsov said he'd only fight Fury if it was for an eliminator. They make it the eliminator and then conveniently change it to a 'semi-eliminator'. You make it sound like WBC are doing it for the fans when in reality they're lining their pockets.

You think WBC silver belts are good for the sport or the multiple world champions?

You have no idea and shouldn't have gone off BostonGuy's post, what I said went over his head.

all the ridiculous belts is hurting the sport but these eliminators are not a bad idea if it gets guys fighting each other. eventually the WBC will have a champion that will hopefully fight wladimir for all the marbles. even if we only have an undisputed champion for one day before the bodies start stripping belts.

                      Look at Burns-Walsh.

He 'earnt' a WBO ranking by fighting mediocre opposition for a worthless trinket. According to the WBO, that's a credible fight. In the press conference for the fight Burns was embarrassed with his opponent and is receiving unfair flak because of his promoter. But higher than the promoter is the sanctioning bodies who allow these types of fights to happen.

Arreola-Stiverne is forced by the WBO as a final eliminator, a month or so later and Fury is looking for an opponent. Boytsov is approached and says he'll only fight if it's an eliminator, WBO split the two fights creating semi eliminators and people are praising such magnificent work by the WBO.

                      Bravo!
