do not sleep on Canelo, yes i do agree he has had a easy path, but no one in the game right now throws better power combo's, from top to bottom. the boy is a monster. honestly by may, he can possibly upset mayweather, cotto's style is made for him, the only one i think that will keep him honest is maravella - Floyd is too small, Canelo is a big 154 pounder and he is only 22 years old - floyd does not fight enough for me, now if Canelo beats him it will be an upset, not saying he will be the favorite. Not sure if Cotto has it left in him to beat a big young gun in canelo. Martinez is big, mobile, and can hide that sneeky left .. good fights tho..

The WBC's golden, entitled child, gets to sit on the sidelines and avoid a mandatory against Vanes or Lara for what looks like at least 10 months (if he's fighting in May, and then scheduling the next fight in September or October) just for the opportunity to make the WBC more money with a big fight in May.

Canelo would give all 3 fighters problems with his accurate power shots. Floyd should stay @ 147 - Canelo beats Cotto - Martinez would give him problems with the power left but Canelo looks like a better boxer than Martinez...Martinez relies on his reflexes too much and will get KO'd in the next year or 2.

He needs to fight some legitimate competition before stepping up to someone like Cotto or Martinez.
I think though Golden Boy would rather throw him in with a high profile opponent than risk a loss to someone like Lara or Kirkland.

Martinez @154 is a ***** fight. He hasn't been there in several years and is undergoing surgery. Fight the champ at 160 or go home

Cotto is a good fight, good test and is a toss up

Same goes with Mayweather. I rather see Mayweather get a tune up first. Not sure how wise it is to get a major fight after a 12 month layoff and coming out of a jail stint. This has upset written all over it

Honestly all 3 are much older and shopworn than Canelo but all 3 still beat Him..Canelo has done nothing to anyone that suggest that he can fight the likes of Floyd Cotto or Sergio. He hasn't even fought a real 154 lb champ.

Mayweather is doing wrestlemania again in April right? so he won't fight in May

and I highly doubt Cotto is going to let Canelo be the a side and dictate to Cotto when Cotto fights.

remember how GBP wanted Canelo to fight Cotto in december this year but Cotto chose Austin Trout out of nowhere. Cotto will fight who he wants he doesn't need Canelo to make money

and Martinez, Team Canelo can totally call the shots and pay him whatever they want.


plus Canelo has no PPV history, so it will be hard for him to ask for an even split with Cotto or Mayweather who are both proven PPV fighters. we all pretty sure he's a PPV fighter but in negotiations for millions of dollars, speculation doesn't fly
