Funny thing is, Lara has been doing all the Trash talking. His trainer (Shields), Manager and Lara himself have reached out to media and published over 7 articles talking **** about this fight.

Where as Vanes has only responded to media ONCE and said he'll do his fighting in the ring and wished Lara's camp the best.

Cotto moves up to #1 for beating Trout[if he does beat him], Mayweather moves down to #2, Lara moves up to #3 for beating Vanes[he's #4 now], Canelo moves down to #4.

So according to The Ring rules, can't the #1-5 fight each other and become The Ring champion? For example, hypothetically speaking; May 2013: Cotto #1 vs Canelo #4, winner becomes Ring Champion?

Mayweather messed up the entire flow of the division. Had he stayed at WW (or if he was more active), we wouldn't have this confusion. Cotto/Canelo would've fought earlier this year to establish who's the Ring champion. Your example makes perfect sense because it's in accordance with their rules, but it's flawed cuz the lineage won't go full circle. There's a reason why it's an even number of fighters on the rankings system, cuz everyone is supposed to fight each other like a tournament. Too bad it almost never happens that way. Kirkland has become irrelevant, K9 is a joke, Zaurbek should probably be higher than #10.

Not only that, but what did Canelo do to get #3? He hasn't fought anyone in the current Top 10, anybody know if Rhodes/Cintron were in the Top 10? cuz his ranking makes zero sense to me. He has 10 fights @LMW and most of his opponents were moving up in weight.

Mayweather and Canelo hurt the credibility of the rankings. One barely fights, and the other fights over-matched opposition.
