Who do you rank higher? Wlad Klitschko or Larry Holmes?

I remember watching both those fights, I agree that Lennox seemed like he could have went on.Lewis was also up and saying he could continue in the first McCall fight (and I'd hardly say he cleaned up his mess in that rematch. Your opponent having the DTs in the ring is just odd). I've always thought McCall was a quick hook. Dropped, up quick, a little shaky but we've all seen worse, and they stop it? That stunk.
I think that is cleaning up his mess though, it is not like Lennox knew that was going to happen, he took the rematch quick he had to figure he would be facing a similar guy to the one that beat him. How it turned out is certainly strange but to me Lennox forced the issue if Lennox did not do that who knows if McCall breaks down like that.
It was a weird fight though Lennox seemed to be in a lot of those.Comment

I think Floyd Patterson is certainly a great heavy to me is is one of the most overlooked greats. I would put Wlad above him though.
I don't consider Johansson that good, he was ok but that lose hurts Patterson pretty bad.Comment

The rematch wasn't that quick. It was years 2-3 years later. But, yeah, that was just a weird fight. I just think it's funny when people make out like THAT was the same sort of get back as Rahman.I remember watching both those fights, I agree that Lennox seemed like he could have went on.

Larry Holmes is the better boxer/fighter by far, not even close! Technique wise, body coordination, aptitude, over all experiences, speed, a top five heavyweight division jab, a great right hand, the sneakiest upper cuts and guts beyond a fighters dreams.
Honestly why not make comparisons to heavies from the different eras that were ranked from 7 to 15th hen discussing the Klits. Bros!! This current era is the weakest not only in the competition but the Champs (K. Bros) willingness to appear in fights. If one of them barnstormed against this low level competition he would be granted praise for exposing himself to the fight world. (legisticly) They don't promote themselves or boxing so its difficult for me to back them up. They do get in shape and their losses don't effect my feelings about them in a negative way at all. The vast majority of good fighters to great fighters lose once in a while!
Comparing them to Holmes is almost comparing them to Ali and either comparison is getting really silly. Just watch the films and try to read up on Methods & Techniques! It really isn't that difficult to see who's the most accomplished in both phases and whose attributes exceed the others. RayComment

He lost to McCall when he was what 46?
Plus I would take McCall over every dude who beat Wlad.
I don't think losing to Holyfied when you consider where Holmes was at carries much shame either.Comment

He avenged both his loses, the Rahman one was certainly more emphatic but after watching both McCall fights I never felt McCall was really the better man so strange circumstance aside I am alright.
Except Lennox does not really deserve to be the only man that stopped the Atomic Bull, I don't know what you would call that victory but even TKO is to strong for me.Comment
