and yes - we all know Arum is a scumbag. but hes a promoter all he cares about is $. Floyd should care about his legacy and eh obviously doesnt

You see, the problem you have is like most, you look at who and not WHEN. When Pac fought those guys, outside of Cotto, they where losers. Cotto had a title but like Hatton (WHEN pac fought him) fired his team (mental issues?) and had just been ko'ed (more mental issues?).

Most would agree that Cotto was not even the same after the margarito beating. At least they like to use that line when referring to the Cotto that Mayweather fought years later and at a different weight class (no catch to it) and ignore the one that Pac fought at a catchweight.

However I'm not discrediting that fight because that is by far Pac's best win at WW even though it was at 145 and even though Pac had already agreed to fight Hoya at 147 before.

Since then pac hasn't accomplished anything at WW but fight has beens and then force two guys that were not WW's up to WW when pac himself wouldn't even fight for a WW title unless (like his JMW "title") there was some kind of catch to it.

The funny part was that he had fought at 147 once before but wanted an advantage to win the WW title. Just like he wanted the advantage vs Cotto in a rematch.

You ask who should have pac fought at WW? Well Mosley when he was the WW Champion would have looked good.

Maybe any top WW? To this day Pac has never fought a top 3 WW/JMW let alone actual Champions of either weight classes. His run at WW and JMW is weak, VERY weak. It has names.... but names that where just that when pac fought them. Much like Ali was a name when Trevor Berbick beat him. We don't go around saying Trevor Berkick is an ATG because he beat Ali...

    • "Pac, you're next!," says Floyd da best.

This little quote just means he can make the fight happen if he really wanted to. It takes two to tango. Floyd knows he's been holding up the fight.

Ask 50 cent. He'll tell you.

        • In my opinion, and I say this with great respect toward both Floyd and Manny, I believe they have slowly become irrelevant. Everyone with eyes knows that both men are years past their primes, and it is now a matter of how many good fights they have left in them before the new blood overtakes them or they retire. Again, I dont say it lightly, but I feel like the discussion has already moved past them.

I'll do you one better, I'll show you a video from Sept 2011.

In Pac's interview from Sept 2011, Manny says the commission makes the rules, which is why he won't submit to Mayweather's demands.

And part of negotiating is reputation and Arums would be crushed if he let Manny sign that deal. No fighter would want to sign withTR after that. But 09s offer was a 50/50 split and they passed. No excuse for that. They didnt want it plain and simple.
arum said that bc it was obvious there was a 0% chance floyd was takin straight 50 mil, jus like 0% chance Pac wouldve taken straight 40 mil.

I agree Pac shouldve accepted those terms, but, never in the history of boxing had a fighter dictated steroid testing, so I can understand their reservations about it. also, floyd wouldv found another excuse- proof is in the pudding: floyd said for year - take the test and we have a fight. we now know that was all BS. bc as soon as testing wasnt an issue, purse became an issue

Like I have said many times, Bob will allow Pac to fight Mayweather in Pac's very last fight. Hey it's Pac's problem now, especially since he resigned with Bob. He should of forced Bob to take the 50-50 offer when he had the chance.
^Is this guy aware that Floyd is the one ducking?

Floyd probably had hoped pac wouldn't have resigned with Bob (like Cotto) but now that he did, he knows Bob won't be making the fight any time soon.

So now what does he do? Fight LW's and JWW's while ducking the entire WW division (like Pac)?

Fight WW's and duck the entire JMW division?

Fight JMW's while ducking every other weight class? If he stays at JMW, do people really think he will move back down to WW? Let alone possibly fighting at 160 for a title before he retires (just my guess).

Floyd gave a reasonable offer years ago when BOTH where prime and Pac walked away, much like he did when Mosley was Champion and begged him for a fight. Pac walks away, just like he did when wanted a Cotto rematch.
In ^this line... you can see we're dealing with a sick mofo!
Pacquiao's ducking the entire WW division...?? Pleasee..name one of those guys Pacquiao's ducking!
