  • Like I said, this isn't the first time Floyd's pulled this bull****.

1 billion points to the first person that shows me an article/video from 2008 when Floyd-Cotto was hot where Floyd says something along the lines of "I can't make the Cotto fight because Arum is in the way". Anything like that.

Arum wasn't in the way because Floyd never tried; instead he used ****** excuses to not make the fight like he's doing now.

Anyway, 1 Billion points to the first person to show it. I'll wait.

Why no talk of Arum in 2008?

If we're going off facts, Floyd never mentioned Arum being an obstacle to Floyd-Cotto happening.

      Floyd mentioned the following:

      1. Vacations
      2. Retirements
      3. Cotto has no fan base
      4. Cotto lives to far
      5. ODLH-Mayweather II (rematch)

These are quotes from Mayweather, directly from the horses mouth.

So I'll ask you again Wess, out of all these excuses, why no "I'm trying to make the fight, but Arums getting in the way", like what was obviously the case now with Pac?
Do you not realize that Floyd has never fought a TR fighter since leaving TR? Yet this somehow means that Floyd is ducking the entire TR stable? Do you not find it funny that TR fighters seem to be the only fighters that people claim Floyd to ever duck?

I also find it ironic that people think a 2008 Cotto beats Floyd. A JWW, WW or JMW Cotto doesn’t beat Floyd. Just like a JWW, WW, JMW Cotto doesn’t beat Pac yet Pac still feels he needs that weight advantage to prove it.

You can bring up quotes about Floyd talking about Cotto in 2008 but that doesn’t change the fact that even before 2008, Bob was blocking fights between the two. At the end of the day Floyd fought Cotto at a weight that pac wouldn't and that accounts for something even if people want to say Cotto was done the very second he fought Margarito, just so long as they remember Pac's best win at WW was vs Cotto and well that was after the Margarito fight too.

      • Arum has nothing to do with ped testing demands. He also has nothing to do with demanding 100% PPV. You gotta be too ****** to blame Arum for that. Last one is a deal breaker.

I'll keep it very very very simple for you, since when was JMM and Bradley a WW? Fighting these guys who are not ranked at WW is in fact ducking the weight devision Pac fights in is it not?

Now if Pac had moved "down" to JWW, WW would never had to be mentioned. However this was not the case. These where WW fights. Just like Bob seems to think a Pac vs Rios fight should be at. How many fights does Rios have at WW? How many did JMM have at WW? How many did Bradley have at WW?

So let's get it clear, not ok for Floyd for picking on the former WW title holder/current JWW Champion in Hatton but it's ok for WW title holder Pac to fight JWW title holder Bradley who had never won a title at WW?

Double standards my friend. Which was the entire point of bringing up Bradley. However, I'm sure you noticed it.
anytime bradley fought over 140 he looked nothing short of spectacular, until came pacquiao, hatton looked like sht in his only fight at 147 i hear

I agree that Arum is a piece of sh**, but he made all 3 a ton of $, and only Mayweather did significantly better after leaving TR
No doubt, I don't think anyone says that TR DIDN'T make these guys famous or a lot of money. The highlight of my post is that when they left Bob, the fights that Bob would not make, happened. They also made more money and where able to make their own decisions. i.e. Cotto not being forced to fight pac at another catchweight..

Remember now, Bob stright up said he would not make the Mayweather vs Hoya fight. he straight up told Floyd he would not give Mayweather the amount of money he wanted in order to fight Margarito, let alone Hatton and Cotto. This was WHEN he was under TR. It only got worse when Floyd left. It's not like Bob and Floyd became best friends. All the fights that Bob wouldn't make now claimed that Floyd was ducking yet to date, none of his TR fighters have fought Floyd. Not one. At least up until they left TR. Much like it took Mayweather leaving TR to get Hatton and Hoya.

Bob is great at what he does and that is build fighters but let’s not ignore that he bluntly blocks fights from happening if it doesn’t make dollar sense to him. Sharing the pot of money is not on his agenda, especially with Floyd and that is vice-a-versa.

                  • So who is Floyd's next fight? Seems to me it's not only Pac he's ducking. GBP is offering Canelo and Floyd went on a long vacation again.

Canelo is more dangerous than midget Pac at this point.

                    • Why would Floyd not want to make a career high payday off of a one dimensional declining fighter???
