Yes, the fighters do owes us something: to try to fight the best fighters available, I like Canelo's choices Cotto, Mayweather and Martinez but if they are not available then fight the next best, otherwise I will not pay to watch

Canelo says all the right things while Golden Boy Matches him up with very beatable opponents. That way he looks like he wants the best and in the meantime he beats the rest. I dont think Canelo is bad at all, but we still havnt seen him perform against an "A" fighter. I feel like he should have to fight his Mandatory before getting a Big name/Big Money fight. He hasnt earned a shot at the Best of the Best yet IMO. Beat Lara and then you get Floyd/Sergio/ or Cotto.

boxing is a job and a business.... these fighters owe us nothing all canelo has to do is whats best for him financially. would it be nice to see the champ fight a number #1 contender or unify belts every fight sure but its not logical. canelo is 22yrs old and has beat vasquez twice(either at a lighter weight or too heavy for vasquez), shane, cintron, and josesito(supposed to be ortiz). decent names. not in their primes but good names. most kids at 22 have 16 fights and are being groomed and brought along slowly why cant gbp do the same with this kid? if they want to maximize the money they make off this kid they will protect him til they know hes ready like top rank did with jcc jr. gbp knows that fans complain but the ratings and gates are still great so why listen to fans? its about money not fan approval.

First he is the Champion, age has nothing to do with that and he needs to defend the belt against the best in his division, those names that you talk about are either shot to $h1t or two weight class lower, those wins mean nothing, second the last time they he fought they gave away more than half the tickects, and fans pay the bills so it is about the fans, the thing is we have smart fans and idiots, so where do you belong? there is a lot of criticism on spanish speaking sites about Canelo so not every Mexican is with him.
