I'm not sure which part of my post was unclear. I'm pretty sure I acknowledged the fact that fights were against names... never said they were good wins. Secondly. At what point did I reference canelo being a mexican or that I believed all mexicans supported him? I feel canelo does deserve a pass for the lopez fight since it was supposed to be Paul Williams, kirkland and ortiz. U say half the tickets were given away at the lopez fight... I think u are exaggerating. But if the kid wasn't making money for gbp why are they making him the face of the company? I want to see the kid fight better comp to and I think he'll lose to most of the fighters he's targeting (mayweather, Lara, martinez, etc). The kid is like the rest of us he does what his boss tells him and cashes his paycheck.

First he is the Champion, age has nothing to do with that and he needs to defend the belt against the best in his division, those names that you talk about are either shot to $h1t or two weight class lower, those wins mean nothing, second the last time they he fought they gave away more than half the tickects, and fans pay the bills so it is about the fans, the thing is we have smart fans and idiots, so where do you belong? there is a lot of criticism on spanish speaking sites about Canelo so not every Mexican is with him.

It's apparent that the WBC are building Canelo into a future superstar so why not take him on the road & get his name recognized outside of Mexico & the USA? He really needs to cross the Atlantic & make his mark in Europe, Scandinavia & the UK. I'm sure Baysagurov, Rabchenko & Brian Rose would accomodate.

East Coast USA even, he hasn't been east of Dallas. Rosado in Atlantic City, as a voluntary, would convince me he's real.

And if May goes according to plan, im sure he'll fight for a WBC diamond belt, so the "mandatory" means nothing and in a division with BIG names, thats a good thing for fans.

you were very clear, you mention his age and I respond it, you mention the "good names' and I too respond, you giving him a pass because he was supossed to fight a one handed Kirkland or PW (it will had been epic), and I ask, there's no other JMW in the world that were available? Like Vanes, Lara etc... he had to fight a JWW in lopez and for this fight I don't know how many tickets they gave away, but from the one before yes they did, i'm the one that mention his mexican heritage because they are a lot of them piss off at him and he have leverage to ask or refuse who he fights, he been protected by his promoter against other clients, actually Lara was comptemplating suing the whole outfit GBP/WBC, what they are doing is against their own rule, this kid will fall the first time he sees a real fighter in the ring.
