You guys seem to have no clue on the situation here. Canlelo is a young man from Mexico that probably didn't have much growing up. Now he is teamed up with these guys that are giving him millions to fight or however much he's making. Of course he's going to listen to them and fight who they put in front of him. Remember, he's still very young. It is what it is, deal with it, but quite complaining.

Why make excuses for the guy? He is asking now to get him a big revelant name so Canelo does have some input and knows what is going on around him.

He has been a champ for a while and the champ is suppose to be the best in the division and beat all comers. Not be babied with challenges to get him ready or to make money.

It's apparent that the WBC are building Canelo into a future superstar so why not take him on the road & get his name recognized outside of Mexico & the USA? He really needs to cross the Atlantic & make his mark in Europe, Scandinavia & the UK. I'm sure Baysagurov, Rabchenko & Brian Rose would accomodate.

all Alvarez has ever had has been ezy opponents & laydowns....NEVER has he fought a #1 or Mandatory...w/WBC & GBP protecting him won't fight the Lara/Vanes winner...do you believe they will put him in w/Lara? I don't, not for a moment...

Won't be long now. Lara and Vanes must be desperate as hell to get in the ring. WBC would look like total jackasses to go back on their own ruling. Ladies and Gentlemen, Canelo vs. Lara/Vanes will happen!

Do you really think they care? They already said they were against Manny-JMM but were quoted by another source saying they would love to sanction the fight.

This just means he will fight Floyd/Cotto in May and hopefully one of them wins so the winner of Vanes-Lara get a big name. They deserve it more.

I don't believe shhit of the wbc is saying...they alredy said that canelo will be allowed to take one voluntary defence in december and they won't allow him to take another fight after that apart of tha vanes/lara winner...they change their mind every time that canelo change his...lara won't get a shot at someone who never fought a top 15 154 pounder...canyellow won't be prepared for somebody of his same size with boxing skills, power and expirience against better opposition..

boxing is a job and a business.... these fighters owe us nothing all canelo has to do is whats best for him financially. would it be nice to see the champ fight a number #1 contender or unify belts every fight sure but its not logical. canelo is 22yrs old and has beat vasquez twice(either at a lighter weight or too heavy for vasquez), shane, cintron, and josesito(supposed to be ortiz). decent names. not in their primes but good names. most kids at 22 have 16 fights and are being groomed and brought along slowly why cant gbp do the same with this kid? if they want to maximize the money they make off this kid they will protect him til they know hes ready like top rank did with jcc jr. gbp knows that fans complain but the ratings and gates are still great so why listen to fans? its about money not fan approval.

He can do what's best for him all he wants, but it shouldn't come a surprise when he's called out for not fighting the best in return.
