pointing out flaws and strategies are easy. to fight tyson, you tie him up inside like lewis. to fight roy jones, you push him onto the ropes and pressure him with lots of shots. but even though people always knew these things it took forever for these guys to finally go down.

But, getting in there & trying to take advantage of them- physically, is very difficult.
Ali was a trainwreck when it came to fundamentals but he would kick you all up in your ass anyway!

amen, bro, preach on, it's gonna take more than just a mediocre pro to exploit those flawsComment

" Easier said than done"(basically) Like when I use to box, I've always figured out guys that were more athletically gifted, but the " holes" in their armor gets covered up right away. I mean, I felt that I understood the sport better, but these talented guys never really have to figure out anything, ' cause guys would already crumble before they even got hit.Originally posted by jabsRstiffYou don't need to be terribly astute to see Klit's flaws....they're apparent.

This thread has NOTHING WHATSOEVER to do with excuses. It was about a post-fight interview where a trainer congratulated Klit on a performance and then revealed what their understandably-secret-until-after-the-fight gameplan was. It would be nice if we could have a Williams thread without some knee-jerk reaction that's totally unrelated to the subject being posted after it.
They said they didnt get the opportunity to expose the flaw. YES THEY DID! Getting in the ring with the man is IS the opportunity. It would be nice if we didnt have a Williams thread at all. The man is barely mediocre, only the English think he is great because of he beat a shadow of Mike Tyson. Williams has BEEN making excuses, this is just another. My ass he didnt have the opportunity. They make it seem like they just chose not to expose this flaw. "Didnt get the opportunity" that is such a ****ing joke.Last edited by MetalVomit; 01-08-2005, 12:08 AM.Comment

Maybe next week "Team Tex Cobb" can tell us what they saw to exploit in Larry Holmes.
....lol lol lol Exactly my sentiments. Lennox also talks about Vit's flaws but apparently doesn't feel good enough about his chances even with them. Hence, alot of talk but no rematch.Comment
