    Noel "Shut-Up" Echevarría

    Jonathan "Bomba" González
Alex 'el Pollo' de Jesús (this MF has all the talent in the world but has a hard head!)
    Carlos 'El Chicano' Cotto
    Jonathan "Mantequilla" González
    Roberto Acevedo
    Keith "Machine Gun" Tapia
    José "Wonder Boy" López
    Edgardo "Eggie" Laboy
    José "Wonder Boy" López
    Abner Cotto
    Cesar Seda Jr
    Gabriel "Tito" Bracero
    Thomas Dulorme (not fully prican)
    And many more.......

So you see we are here to stay and this next wave of future champs will hit stardom and put us on the map again. Ill be happy if 10 of these become champ.

The question now is....what you got???

Never doubt our heritage of great boxers. We will shine again!
What do you think about Janiel Rivera? Think he's the goods?

Also apparently you think very highly of Wonder Boy Lopez since you put him twice in the list...

The problem with the latest prospects is not being "exposed". First shouldnt one have some sort of popularity or show a bit of invulnerability before your "exposed"?

Del Valle and Dalorme For instance were rushed too fast not to mention poor promoting....Imagine if these guys took the Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. route....they would be 55 and 0 with 40 kos....then fight a challenge.

Partly for the same reason that there are so many Mexican champs in boxing: culture. The Chinese don't have nearly the same interest in boxing as some other countries. Why aren't there any great Mexican gymnasts at the Olympics? With their massive population, China would have quite a few world champs if they cared about boxing the way Mexicans, Puerto Ricans and Cubans do.

Puerto Ricans just have a small pool to draw from, despite their love of the sport. It's understandable that there's a lull right now in their game. There'll be more P.R. champs soon enough.

I added him twice by mistake. I think very highly on this next wave of future champs.

That was Bob Arum's choice. Cotto would have always fought everyone. He would have lost much sooner doing that but his guts can't be questioned.
