What's wrong with Puerto Rican boxing?

All of their prospects are getting exposed lately it seems. And they don't have that many veterans at the elite level, Miguel Cotto being the lone exception.

Is boxing in a decline on the island?

Na they're stepping up. It will happen to the prospects from anywhere. PR prospects are taking the biggest risks. Big props.

Cotto ain't no exception. PR prospects are taking bigger risks than him.

I'd rather they go through this now then start a career out thinking they're unbeatable.

Good observation cause frankly I'm starting to lose hope. They've all been mediocre and chinny. Not sure what's the deal there. I guess younger people aren't focused. Lots of drugs on the island messing up the youth, it's sad really.
