  • Garcia vs Matthysse/Rios...make it happen. I like Garcia but he's had his tune ups with Morales already. Time to fight the other top guys in the division.

    • Garcia-Judah would be a good fight. Judah proved he's got something left after the Paris fight. But Garcia-Matthysse needs to happen. How about Garcia-Judah and Matthysse-Peterson, and the winners fight???

I think Kirkland felt the same way about what GBP was doing with his career. I can see why he would feel that way too.

He beat Soto who is a beast. I know you're gonna say "but Soto was moving up in weight". Soto had only lost 1 fight in like 10 years. It's how he beat Soto down.

Olusegun was a very proven amateur who was undefeated as a pro. I'm pretty sure Olusegun beat a few proven professionals in the amateurs on top of being an undefeated pro for about 10 years. Olusegun was a solid fighter and probably a better boxer than Garcia.

Oh yeah, and Khan dropped Judah on a body shot that Judah called low,
which is why he didn't get up. If you notice, Judah got up right after the ref called the fight off. Let's not over glamorize the KO as something it wasn't. It was more miscommunication than anything.

Anyway, like I said earlier in the thread, Mathysse gave the judges the benefit of the doubt during the Alexander/Judah bouts. If you notice before all of his fights now, he makes it a point to not let the fight go to the judges so he can get robbed. Because that's what the Judah/Alexander fights were; a robbery.

How can you agree that Pac-Marquez III was a robbery, but not Alexander-Mathysse?

Lastly, this potential fight between Garcia-Mathysse has very little to do with "who has he beat". You use this argument a lot when referring to your debates concerning Mayweather and Pac. Not every fight can be analyzed this way. Like I told another poster, as a boxing fan, you have to have an eye for routines, styles and proven/normal characteristics of two fighter when determining who would win a potential fight. It doesn't always come down to "Oh, who has this guy beat or who has he beat". You know this.

It's clear as a glass of spring water that Garcia's routines play into Mathysse's strengths. I don't know what else to say, but let's wait for the fight to happen I guess
You're a Mathysse fan, I get it but stop trying to make him out like he has fought and beat the best when actually he hasn't. Soto compared to Garcia is not getting the edge. Garcia would have blasted Soto too. Don't tell me what to think or do as a boxing fan. All of my post are from an analytic, technical stand point. You are talking about Mathysse like he is one of the best but in actuality he is not. Doesn't mean he is not a good fighter but to say he would beat Garcia down is non sense considering Garcia is putting the business on his opponents young and old. The left hook is lethal. Matthysse hasn't even beaten anyone note worthy with exception to a guy moving up from light weight with 8 losses. Zab Judah is a cry baby. I saw the punch and it was on the belt line of Zab trunks. Dude quit. Khan was whupping on him anyway during that fight. Mathysse couldn't even get the job done and Zab was dropped and made to order.

I told people that would be a close fight. And it was. Styles...simple as that. Floyd outclassed a two lower division Marquez...and came with two pounds above established. So please....
Hey man....get off the B***$#!t because Roach, Ariza and everyone else on Pac's team said Marquez was going to get smoked in the 3rd fight and that is facts. Don't have nothing to do with "Floyd" or his "fan boys" even Pacquiao said he underestimated Marquez and Roach is now saying that he cannot let Pac take it to a decision because he knows what's up. Majority of Manny fans on here were saying Marquez was going to get KO'd, so stop fronting. Took Floyd one fight with Marquez to show no reason for another fight while Pac is on his 4th..... Straight truth.

What makes you think he will? And you are supposed to be smarter than me because you want your opinion to be fact over mine but it's not happening because the fight ain't happening yet. You're opinion is not better than mine at this point.

              • This notion that Matthysse has beat everyone or has beat all the best isn't exactly accurate. I'd still say Garcia beating Khan was better than anything Matthysse has done so far. Khan was coming off wins over Malignaggi, Maidana, Judah, and a very very close fight with Peterson. Everyone was saying Garcia was going to lose that fight.

Matthysse's best official wins were Soto and Olusegun. Not exactly world beaters but decent fighters. The way Matthysse fans talka bout Soto though, you'd think he was actually in the Top 10 at 140 when Matthysse beat him. His best wins as of late were David Diaz and Urbano Antillon, and Soto was nowhere near a world beater at 140 lbs. Sure, Matthysse probably should have gotten the decision over Alexander, which would have been his best win. But in the Judah fight, you know the guy everyone says sucks, that fight was very close. Matthysse dropped Judah and landed hard shots during the fight, but there were many instances where Judah was out boxing and out landing Matthysse. Matthysse landed the harder shots, but Judah still won a lot of rounds there. That was a close fight, and the so called best JWW in the world didn't steam roll Judah, or ALexander either for that matter, and stop them.

Garcia-Matthysse still needs to happen though.

How about Garcia-Judah and Matthysse-Peterson, winners fight each other. That way Matthysse if he wins could grab that IBF title, ending Garcia's lame excuse about Matthysse not even having a title at 140.
