Sounds like he had made a commitment so fair enough, but dont think it learns him anything.

It does keep him active, but its no good keeping active to just blow people out in 1 or 2 rounds, at the end of the day its really no good for him or for us fans...he knows it we know it.

I don't blame any British fighter for wanting to win a Lonsdale belt outright, it's something of a holy grail for UK fighters. That said, it's the only thing this fight has going for it other than keeping Price active and his name out there.

What about Vitali, Tyson, Lewis? not that it's restricted to heavy weights.

The only people who have a strong issue with this are people who want to see him lose imo. He's still basically a rookie in the pro game he will be stepping up in opposition next year people need to chill.
This is one of the most logical post that I have read today.

It's pretty much a stay busy fight in my opinion as Harrison was so easy, if he'd had a war with Harrison he prob wouldnt be fighting until 2013, so if he gets another bum out of heavyweight boxing before santa puts gifts under my tree then im all the happier for it.

            Excellent post.

I did laugh though when the article said that Price thinks Skelton will be a "decent" challenge. LOL.

Seems Skelton was on stand by if Harrison pulled out, and part of the deal was that Price would face Skelton next..so keeping that commitment and squeezing in another fight before the end of 2012 isn't to bad for Price.

The fight itself may not be to testing for Price but staying active is good.

Not an ideal opponent but at least it's happening only 2 months after the Audley fight, so it's better than him sitting out for a while and facing no one until 2013.

Skelton probably would've been better as a sparring partner imo. He does has the ability to give a young prospect a good learning experience, but he probably won't get a chance to if Price connects early enough, which is what I expect to happen.

except that Vitali was 27, Lennox 26 and Tyson 19!!!

Lennox olympic gold, Vitali amateur silver.

Price is a bum, he's just a English hype-job. They are desperate for a champion.

I don't care if he is 35 years old he still has had only 14 fights. Witha that said. If he is still fighting less then elite fighters in his 25th fight then get back to me. Which in reality is really the norm these days. Don't believe me? Look at Arreola's record. He is still fighting the Joey Abell's and Rafael Butler's of the world and he is pushing 40 fights. So, in my opinion the Price detractors have no legit argument about his choice of opponents at this point in his career.
