Comments Thread For: David Price Sees Nothing Wrong With Skelton Bout

David Price believes he is doing the right thing by fighting veteran Matt Skelton in December.

The British and Commonwealth champion will fight the 45 year old next after getting another ageing Brit - Audley Harrison - out of the ring inside 90 seconds on Saturday.

However, Price (14-0) believes the former world title contender represents a decent challenge this early in his career.

What could be wrong about this?

    Oh, I wonder.

Though it's pointless, at least he's staying very active.

I hope Price-Fury happens after this. Than, Price can fight someone like Chagaev/Helenius/Chisora. Than if he wins those two fights, step up to someone a little higher ranked like Povetkin, Pulev, Haye, etc.

Surely they'd throw him in with some tough SOAB, just so he can get some rounds under his belt.

At the moment, he's blowing fighters away inside 4 rounds.

Who was Wlad fighting in his 15th pro bout?

What about Vitali, Tyson, Lewis? not that it's restricted to heavy weights.

The only people who have a strong issue with this are people who want to see him lose imo. He's still basically a rookie in the pro game he will be stepping up in opposition next year people need to chill.

He should fight someone like Dominic Guinn after Skelton. That would be a decent step up. Then maybe Chisora.

I don't think Fury really wants the fight. He avoided Price before if I remember correctly.

Guinn would've been a better opponent then Skelton and about as much risk. He'd get rounds in which is most important at this time in his career.
