So Wladmir Klitschko is paying around 15% sanctioning fees for his titles, in addition to his promoter, trainer, and manager fees. That's a big cut out of your paycheck. It sounds unfair to us, sounds unfair to the boxers, but for the people in charge, they don't want to change that culture of percentage fees. Sucks.Comment

the fcuk is that retirment plan? and why is it obligatory? and why would anybody entrust his retirement plan to a boxing organization? these motherfcukers are so corrupt they don't even try to hide it.Comment

that is just ridiculous. now i'm not too mad about some fighters not caring or wanting to unify. 1 organization snatching 3% is enough. boxing's never going to have an undisputed champ imo with these **** running these organizations

If you really wanna get pissed, read closely into that statement. "TR didnt pay for the belt" meaning on top of tens of thousands in sanctioning fees they also have to actually pay the cost of the belt which is between 800-1200. Now think about the WBA, who has 3 belts in every weight class! "Interim, regular, and super." These all have the same feesComment

nah, I'm pretty sure they lower the percentage for guys making crazy amounts of money. Those fees are like an entry level job salary. Who wants to pay that unless they get millions of dollars.
I can only imagine guys like Pacquiao and Mayweather paying for sanctioning fees by percentage. If it's true that the WBC charges 3%, then some one like Floyd making $25Mill, has to pay $750k of sanctioning fees. Titles with their bullsh-t rules, and bullsh-t fees. Just charge one price for all like the poster above me said.Comment
