haha. boxers get paid, i dont see why fans would care how much they make. i didnt see a billion threads about how much rios and alvarado were getting paid. rios and alvarado gave a great fight, and didnt moan and refuse to fight over money like certain fighters do. how many boxing fans whilst watching that fight were talking about how much they earn?! not a single soul id imagine.

pretty interesting to see how they fare against each other. it may not be exactly a pleaser but it shouldn't be a stinker either.

thats because rios and alvarado got paid good money by HBO and TR. rios 500k and alvarado 250k-amounts they don't usually make.

the point is this is how these men pay for their mortgage, bills, children's food etc. they ALL are positioning themselves to make the maximum amount of money. so for you to ask them to take less for your entertainment is a little sad.

I want the winner to fight Bradley or Alexander. But I wouldn't mind seeing the winner fight Floyd in the Spring, if Floyd and Manny don't get their s**t together. Floyd fighting the winner of this fight is more legit than Pac fighting Rios.

i didnt ask them to take less, i said i dont care about how much they make. at the end of the day their job as boxers is to box. alot of these boxers sign promotional contracts which guarantees them an income anyway, its not like the majority are skint is it.

i have a mortgage and bills to pay also. who cares about how much i make?! lol

there are very few 6 figure fights, even the ones you see on HBO. the point is Guerrero/Berto can make enough to live the rest of their lives off a floyd fight, thats why they should take the fight if offered.

then they go fight the really tough competitive fights for more money because they have increased their exsposure. so its a win win.

yeah but these fighters shouldnt hang around for floyd. if the fight is offered then fair enough, but fighters like canelo and bradley who are sitting on the shelf because they have not got the opponent they want is not how it should be done.

pick another opponent and give the fans a good fight in the meantime, and also earn a bit of dollar. better than not fighting, waiting for an opportunity that might never arrive and not earning anything in that time frame.

If Floyd is indeed coming back int he first half of 2013, I'm willing to bet he'll be fighting the winner of this fight, and that's fine with me. The winner here will definitely be a Top WW and a good option for a fight.

I'd still rather see the winner of this fight Bradley, and than the winner of that fight Floyd.

but you risk getting hurt and that payday may never be there again. I agree you want to stay sharp and keep developing. But IMO you have to be smart about business as well.

floyd, manny, cotto are always going to get money. Guerrero and Berto not so much.
