Umm Rios did his fair amount of the clinching. You should go rewatch the fight. Abril was sticking that shoulder to him and Rios couldn't touch him then clinched.

Was it Rios fault? yes it was. But to say weight wasnt a factor is just being naive.
Abril (a feather duster) beat Acosta and dropped him 3 times. Just saying broski. Nobody at 135 beats Abril, probably not even Vazquez. Acosta IS NOT a better boxer than Abril.

    I don't see why that changed~
You two are wrong. It was obviously the weight's fault.

OK, looked it up. He was 137 against a 135 Abril. People need to quit playing the fool and acting as if a 3lb bigger Rios would do any differently against a 5lb bigger Abril.

Rios was known to have weight problems even prior the abril fight.

He came in 2lbs over, 3lbs is not going too make enough of a difference. He was thoroughly outboxed and smashed to bits inside.

If anything Abril would be even better at 140 where he has spent a lot of his career going undefeated, mind you I don't think anybody has a case for beating him except maybe Prescott @ 135 & even that is debatable.

Abril schools him, 135-140 or 147, makes no difference. He is an absolute stylistic nightmare for Rios. It got me how so many thought Rios would destroy him the first time after we seen him struggle so much with pure boxers in he past.

Can Abril win without clinching?, he had about 12 clinches by the 2nd round, and they're were borderline holds. He total 83 clinches in total. That fight was a joke, If Abril doesn't clinch he gets KO'ed.
